Whoo! Day off! Slept in and enjoyed the couch and a little Super Mario Galaxy on my first full day in Anchorage. Later that evening we went out for drinks downtown and watched a show in a local dive bar. Great band and good drinks!

The next morning we woke up and headed off for Seward, AK with a stop at the Wildlife refuge to see some Grizzly bears! We lucked out and walked up to the fence just as one of the staff was feating the bears. They were well behaved and stuck their tongues out until more food was thrown over for them. The big guy stood up a few times and even sat on a log! It was pretty awesome to be a few feet away from full size Grizzly bears.

The drive down to Seward was great, Alaska really is a beautiful place on the coast. We kept out animal expedition alive by visiting the Seward Sea Life Center and checking out the Seals, Sea Lions, sea birds, and more. Plus it was great to see the ocean again!
