Walking around Victoria in the Fall

Walking around Victoria in the Fall

This fall has been gorgeous in Victoria, I think Mother Nature is making up for the exceptionally late start to the summer this year (it didn’t really start getting nice until July). Since I’ve gone back to school for the semester, I’ve begun walking around Victoria when I have some free time. I was last here full time 8 years ago, and I had forgotten how truly beautiful this city can be. Here are a few photos I’ve taken recently.

Empress Hotel Windows

I always love walking by the Empress Hotel, the ivy that grows on it is simply amazing. In the fall it turns bright red and then falls off for the winter. Every year I take a new picture of the windows out front, and this is one of my new favourites.

Ogden Point

Ogden Point breakwater in Victoria is one of my favourite places to walk, the sunsets are fantastic and the views are excellent.

Sunset and trees

Victoria sunset from my balcony, the sky lit up with some amazing pinks and oranges. I love how the trees stand out against the sunset.

Moon, Ocean, Grass

Near Ogden Point is Holland point park, the beaches there are also beautiful and the sunsets can provide a great view towards the Olympic Mountain range in Washington.
